Opening eBooks – Quick Start Window

MOBI+ eBook Reader makes it easy to open and manage your eBooks and documents. Follow these steps to get started:

 

  • Open and Read MOBI eBooks: click this button from the Quick Start Window to browse and select a MOBI ebook file. The app will automatically display the file content
  • Open eBook…: click this button to browse and select any other supported ebook file format. 
  • Open Docs and PDFs: click this button to browse and open Microsoft Word or PDF files. 
  • Recent Files: Quickly access your recently opened files from the “Recent Files” section from the Quick Start Window.

Opening and Managing eBooks from the Reader

MOBI+’s Reader window makes it easy to open and manage your eBooks and documents. Follow these steps to get started:

All functions below can be accessed from the File Menu marked with a Hamburger icon ☰, located at the top-left corner of the Reader window.
  • Open a File: Click ☰ > File > Open… to browse and select a file in any supported format. The app will automatically display the file content.
  • Drag and Drop: Drag a file from your computer and drop it into the app window to open it instantly.
  • Recent Files: Quickly access your recently opened files by clicking ☰ > File and review the recent files list below the “Properties” menu item.

Viewing Multiple Files

  • MOBI+ allows you to open multiple files in separate tabs, making it simple to switch between eBooks without losing your place.

Reader Features

MOBI+ offers a range of features to enhance your reading experience. Below are the key tools and customization options:

Navigation Tools

  • Bookmarks Pane: Access saved bookmarks to quickly jump to specific pages or sections within your eBooks.
  • Search: Use the search bar to locate specific words or phrases in your documents.
  • Page Navigation: Move forward or backward through pages using the navigation buttons or keyboard shortcuts.

Page Layout Options

Reader Theme

MOBI+ offers 4 different Reader theme to suite your needs for ease of reading. These options can be accessed from ☰ > Settings > Reader Theme:

  • Classic mode
  • Dark Mode
  • Eye Protection
  • Sephia

Reader Window Theme

Similary, MOBI+ provides 5 different Reader Window Theme (without changing the font or background color of the reader). They can be accessed from ☰ > Settings > Reader Theme:

  • Light
  • Dark
  • Darker
  • Nature
  • Sepia

Printing and Sharing

Printing

  • How to Print: Open the eBook or document you wish to print, then click the Print button in the toolbar or select File > Print from the menu. Choose your preferred printer and print settings before confirming.
  • Supported Formats: Printing is available for supported formats such as MOBI, EPUB, PDF, DOC, and DOCX. Fixed-layout formats like PDF will retain their original formatting.

Exporting to PDF

  • Convert your eBooks or documents to a PDF format for easier sharing or printing. Use the Print feature and then choose “Microsoft Print to PDF” as the default printer to generate a PDF file for your ebook.
