PPTX Slides Editor makes it easy to create, edit, and present professional-quality slideshows right from your Windows desktop. Fully compatible with PowerPoint presentation formats, the app offers essential features like slide management, content editing, theme application, and slideshow playback—all in a clean, user-friendly interface. Creating a New PowerPoint Presentation

To start a new slideshow presentation, follow these steps:

  1. Launch PPTX Slides Editor by double-clicking its desktop icon

    or selecting it from your applications menu.

  2. In the Launch window, click the Create New PowerPoint button located at the top-right corner.

  3. A blank presentation editor will open. If the editor window appears behind the Launch window, simply click it to bring it forward.

  4. You can now begin adding content directly in the blank slide area.

Working with Slides

When editing a presentation, you can manage individual slides using the Slides Pane on the left side of the window. Each slide is displayed as a thumbnail and can be selected, reordered, or modified directly.

Adding New Slides

To insert a new slide:

  • Click the New Slide button on the toolbar, or
  • Press Ctrl+M on your keyboard.

You can choose from various predefined slide layouts (such as title slides, content slides, or two-column layouts) using the Layout options in the Sidebar.

Rearranging Slides

To change the order of slides:

  • Drag and drop slides in the Slides Pane, or
  • Switch to Slide Sorter View from the bottom of the editor and rearrange slides visually.

Duplicating or Deleting Slides

  • To duplicate a slide, right-click on it in the Slides Pane and select Duplicate Slide.
  • To delete a slide, right-click and choose Delete Slide, or select the slide and press Delete on your keyboard.

Hiding Slides

If you want to exclude a slide from the slideshow without deleting it:

  • Right-click the slide in the Slides Pane and choose Hide Slide.

Hidden slides are skipped during presentation but remain in the file for future editing.

Adding and Formatting Content

PPTX Slides Editor allows you to add various types of content to your slides, including text boxes, images, tables, charts, and multimedia. You can also format each element using the Sidebar and formatting toolbar.

Inserting Text

To add text to a slide:

  • Click inside a predefined text placeholder, or
  • Use the Text Box tool from the toolbar to draw a new text area.

You can apply formatting using the toolbar: change font style, size, color, alignment, or apply bold, italic, and underline.

Inserting Images

To insert an image:

  • Click the Insert menu and choose Image,
  • Browse to select an image file from your device.

Once inserted, use the corner handles to resize the image, and the Sidebar to adjust alignment, position, and wrap settings.

Adding Tables and Charts

To add a table:

  • Go to the Insert menu and select Table, then choose the number of rows and columns.

To insert a chart:

  • Choose Insert > Chart, and a default chart appears. You can double-click it to edit chart data and customize the chart type, labels, and legend.

Object Formatting

Use the Sidebar to adjust the properties of any selected object. You can:

  • Change fill color, borders, and transparency,
  • Align multiple objects, and
  • Rotate or arrange items front to back.

Applying Themes and Slide Transitions

You can enhance the look of your presentation by applying themes, customizing slide backgrounds, and adding transitions between slides.

Using Slide Master

To apply consistent formatting across slides, use the Slide Master view:

  • Go to the View menu and select Master Slide.
  • Edit the master layout to change background, fonts, or placeholder styles.
  • Changes will apply to all slides using that layout.

Applying a Theme

The Sidebar provides access to predesigned themes:

  • In the Master Pages section of the Sidebar, click a theme to apply it to your presentation.
  • The theme includes font styles, colors, and background designs.

Setting Slide Transitions

To add transitions between slides:

  • Select a slide, then click the Slide Transition tab in the Sidebar.
  • Choose a transition effect and adjust the speed or sound if desired.
  • Click Apply to All Slides to use the same transition throughout.

Adding Object Animations

To animate individual objects like text or images:

  • Select the object, then open the Animation tab in the Sidebar.
  • Choose an entrance, emphasis, or exit effect.
  • Reorder and preview animations using the animation list.

Running Slideshows and Exporting

PPTX Slides Editor provides tools to run your presentation smoothly and export it in multiple formats for sharing or printing.

Starting a Slideshow

To begin your presentation:

  • Click the Start from First Slide button on the toolbar, or press F5.
  • To start from the current slide, press Shift+F5.

Use the arrow keys or mouse clicks to advance slides. Press Esc to exit the slideshow mode.

Using Presenter Tools

If a second display is connected, you can use Presenter View to show notes, timers, and upcoming slides:

  • Enable Presenter View in the slideshow settings before starting the presentation.

Exporting Your Presentation

You can export your presentation to various formats for distribution:

  • Go to the File menu and choose Export As.
  • Select a format such as PDF, PNG, or HTML.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to customize export options.

Printing Slides or Handouts

To print your presentation:

  • Choose File > Print.
  • Select a layout: full slides, handouts with multiple slides per page, or notes pages.
  • Use Print Preview to review your layout before printing.

Document Security and Permissions

PPTX Slides Editor allows you to protect your presentations by adding passwords and restricting editing access. These features help safeguard your content, especially when sharing files with others.

Setting a Password to Open

To require a password to open the file:

  • Go to the File menu and choose Save As.
  • In the save dialog, check the box labeled Save with password.
  • Click Save, then enter and confirm your password.

Restricting Editing Access

You can also allow users to open a presentation in read-only mode unless they enter a password for editing:

  • Follow the same steps as setting a password to open.
  • In the password dialog, choose the option to set a password for editing.
  • This enables viewers to open and view the file without editing it unless they have the correct password.

Removing Password Protection

To remove password protection from a file:

  • Open the presentation with the correct password.
  • Go to File > Save As and uncheck Save with password.
  • Save the file again to remove security restrictions.

These features help ensure your presentations remain secure and unaltered when shared or archived.

Spell Checking and Changing App Language

PPTX Slides Editor includes built-in spell checking to help you catch typos and improve the quality of your presentation. You can also change the user interface language and set the language used for text in your slides.

Spell Checking

To check spelling in your presentation:

  • Click the Tools menu and select Spelling, or press F7.
  • The spell checker will review the text in the current slide and suggest corrections for any unrecognized words.
  • You can choose to ignore, replace, or add words to your custom dictionary.

Changing Text Language

You can set the language for individual text objects to ensure accurate spell checking:

  • Select the text box or highlight the text.
  • Right-click and choose Character, then go to the Font tab.
  • Select the appropriate language from the Language dropdown list.

Changing App Interface Language

To change the language of the application interface:

  • Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
  • Expand the Language Settings section and choose Languages.
  • Under User Interface, select your preferred language.
  • Restart the app for the changes to take effect.

These options allow you to work in your preferred language while maintaining correct spelling and localization in your presentation content.
